Art on the Lawn 2023
This year the Amherst History Museum invites local artists and crafters to sell their creations on the lawn of the museum on four Saturdays during our 2023 season. We are seeking artists who work in both traditional, indigenous, historical, and/or contemporary mediums, including fiber, painting, basket-making, spinning, drawing, jewelry, metal, pottery, photography, printmaking, woodworking and paper arts.
All 2-D and 3-D artists in the Amherst region are eligible to participate. We would like each show to reflect the diversity of artists in our region. We encourage artists and crafters of all identities to consider applying.
WHEN: Saturdays: June 10, July 8, September 9, October 14, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
SHOW HOURS: 11am to 3pm
SET-UP: 9-11am
TAKE DOWN: 3pm
Artists may provide a demonstration of their craft within their booth. The following is not allowed: open flame, lamp work, blacksmithing, glass blowing.
We can accommodate up to 10 artists each weekend on a first come, first served basis. Artists will be provided with a 10’x10’ space on the lawn. Artists must provide their own pop-up tent, if desired, table(s), chair(s) and display equipment.
This event takes place rain or shine. Severe weather cancels. Artists must provide their own pop-up tent, if desired.
This is a non-juried event. However, please include a link to your website, Facebook, or Instagram page on the registration form so we may view a sample of your work.
FEES: $25.00 for each Saturday, $75.00 for all four Saturdays. Payable by check.
Artists agree that loss or damages to the artwork are not the responsibility of the Amherst Historical Society and Museum.
