Ignacy Gaydamovich is a recipient of top prizes at international competitions and as a soloist performed with the National Radio and TV of Albania, Hartt Symphony, and Manchester (CT) Symphony orchestras. He has released three CDs and has performed in Austria, China, Japan, Lebanon, Panama, Poland, Russia, as well as in the US. He served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the SUNY Potsdam Crane School of Music and has been on the cello faculty at Texas Christian University and Mount Holyoke College. Dr. Gaydamovich has received degrees from F. Chopin Music Academy, Texas Christian University, Boston Conservatory, Longy School of Music, and his doctorate from the University of Hartford.
Strings @ the Strong Summer concert series is made possible by a grant from the Amherst Cultural Council and sponsored by Stamell Stringed Instruments. The concerts, held in the Museum’s 19th Century Garden, are free (donations appreciated) and open to the public. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. In the event of rain, the concert will be held the following day.
