Please join us for this final concert for our 2022 Summer season – The Cushman String Quartet who present a program that features works by two contemporary women composers along with an old “classic” by Schubert.
The Cushman Quartet was established in the summer of 2020 by a group of friends who had always enjoyed playing chamber music but craved togetherness during the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic. Its members collectively hold degrees from the New England Conservatory, Manhattan School of Music, Baldwin Wallace Conservatory, UMass Amherst, the Juilliard School, Oberlin Conservatory and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Strings @ the Strong Summer concert series is made possible by a grant from the Amherst Cultural Council and sponsored by Stamell Stringed Instruments. The concerts, held in the Museum’s 19th Century Garden, are free (donations appreciated) and open to the public. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. In the event of rain, the concert will be held the following day.
