Victorian Mourning Traditions & Cemetery Tour

Join us on Saturday, October 28 when Elizabeth Cardaropoli (@maidofthemounds) discusses mourning and funerary practices of Early New England through to the Victorian Era and touches on the myriad of reasons behind these mourning traditions. She will then lead a group to West Cemetery to showcase some of the meanings and metaphors carved into gravestones of Amherst residents gone-by.
Fee: Donations in support of this program on the day of the event are appreciated. A donation of $10 is suggested.
